Sent a seven-member delegation to the first Asian Paint Industry Council meeting in Tokyo on 17–19 October, at which Asian countries presented the state of their coatings industries; the Association has sent representatives to every subsequent meeting.

Co-hosted, with the Council of Labor Affairs, a risk-management forum for senior decision-makers on 15 December, attended by more than 40 people from the Council and other organizations.

Partnered with the Council of Labor Affairs to compile and publish two volumes — Safe Operating Rules for Production Machinery, VOCs and Static Electricity in the Coatings Industry, and The Use and Regulation of Dangerous and Harmful Substances in Coatings — distributed to member factories and related bodies.

On 27 June, 17 staff from Everlight Chemical Industrial Corporation attended a training course in paint and paint-film testing; two further staff took a three-day hands-on paint testing course from 25 to 27 July.

The Zhejiang Coatings Industry Association visited the Association on 18 September for information exchange.

Vice Chairperson Lu (呂椬境) led a group of 16 to the first Cross-Strait Coatings Industry Summit Forum, organized by the China National Coatings Industry Association in Henan, China, from 16 to 19 July, and visited the Skshu plant and 廈門固克塗料有限公司.

Held the 2020 Taiwan Coatings Forum on 10 December on energy-saving case studies and energy-saving technology, with more than 100 registrants.

Received a certificate of commendation from the Ministry of the Interior in November for actively advancing the Association's affairs and business, being placed in Grade A in the 2021 performance evaluation of industrial, commercial and professional organizations. The Association has received this award for more than 20 years.
